This pottery platter has a hand carved floral motif. The image is drawn through the black slip and this process is called sgraffito, which means scratching through the surface. All my pottery is stoneware and is fired with a clear glaze making it food safe for either cooking or serving in. My Pottery is also oven safe and dishwasher safe.
