Casserole Dish with mushroom design

Description

This uniquely shaped pottery casserole dish is great for your favorite oven baked dish, such as lasagna, shepherds pie or a berry crisp or cobbler.  It is handpainted over transfers, finished with a white glaze and then fired in a mid range electric kiln.  This dish is oven and dishwasher safe.

Foraging mushrooms on Vancouver Island is so fun and is what inspires this line of pottery.  Have you ever eaten a fresh Chantarelle mushroom that was forged that same day?  It is like eating the freshest, most tender cut of chicken.  So many of these foraged delicacies can be found on Vancouver Island if you know where to find them.  If you are foraging please get some instruction on how to cut them so as not to disturb the roots and this will leave spores to carry on growing again for the next season!
