Dandelion Bowl

Description

This lovely serving bowl is finished with a hand carved dandelion design and is perfect for serving salad, pasta or any of your favourite snacks.

The hand carving is done with a small tool through a black slip that is painted on the pot during the leather hard stage just after trimming the foot.  Once the pot has stiffened up a little, then it’s ready to carve, this process is called sgraffito.

The piece is then fired in a bisque firing and after, it can be glazed and fired again.
