Casserole / Pie Plate with Mushroom Design

Description

This casserole or pie plate is oven safe and suitable for baking so many of your favorite dishes.  This pottery is made with a stoneware clay and is finished with a food safe glaze so washing up is easy.

This piece is 9″ in Diameter and 2.5″ deep.

Foraging mushrooms on Vancouver Island is so fun and is what inspires this line of pottery.  Have you ever eaten a fresh Chantarelle mushroom that was forged that same day?  It is like eating the freshest, most tender cut of chicken.  So many of these foraged delicacies can be found on Vancouver Island if you know where to find them.  If you are foraging please get some instruction on how to cut them so as not to disturb the roots and this will leave spores to carry on growing again for the next season!
