Large Bowl with Mushroom Design

Description

This large pottery bowl with mushroom design is handpainted over a transfer image, then fired with a food safe white glaze in a mid range electric kiln.  It suitable for large servings of salad, chips, pasta or whatever you need for a large group. It is oven and dishwasher safe.

Foraging mushrooms on Vancouver Island is so fun and is what inspires this line of pottery.  Have you ever eaten a fresh Chantarelle mushroom that was forged that same day?  It is like eating the freshest, most tender cut of chicken.  So many of these foraged delicacies can be found on Vancouver Island if you know where to find them.  If you are foraging please get some instruction on how to cut them so as not to disturb the roots and this will leave spores to carry on growing again for the next season!
